How They Wore It vol. 5
The world may be in self-isolation but that hasn’t prevented our OOH. family and friends from rockin’ their Island pieces. In fact, just a couple of months ago we were discussing our shift to a different artistic direction with the brand this year - the idea of bringing a more urban and versatile feel to the product, of taking from the island to your daily lives; but we couldn’t have dreamt it better - slowing down has allowed YOU - our customer and loyal friend - the chance to take island life and introduce it to the comfort of your home, on a walk in nature or on a quick run for essentials. Our pieces have allowed for a little bit more color and a lot more exploration.
Here’s a round-up of a few of our customers, friends, and partners in distant corners of the world.
JEFF DARKO
Jeff Darko is a Singer and Songwriter. Originally from Ghana, he is currently based between Barcelona and London. Jeff has been involved with music since a very young age and is now working on his debut album, which is heavily influenced by Soul legends like Sly and the Family Stone, Prince and Bill Withers - to name a few. The main purpose behind Jeff’s music is to further the works of those that inspired him, including spreading more light through our craft within this world through ours.

Raya T Shearer is currently based in Toronto and - surprise - is actually much more familiar to OOH than one may think. Raya is our Head of Marketing and currently works with the brand from a distance, helping us prove that no one is too far to reach in this day and age. Raya is a Social Media consultant, writer and digital creator who finds solace in writing creative copy, while helping brands build their creative presence and find the right audience. She balances daily life in between projects by turning to yoga, fitness, writing and sharpening her culinary skills. Seen in our SUMBA kimono in the comfort of her home.

Christian is an award-winning athlete in swimming and is based out of Boston, MA. He is currently a student, who breaks academic boundaries and sets his goals at astonishing heights. His passions lie in Electronic music and Computer Science. Seen here wearing our Palma2 matching outfit.

Eleslav Vasilev is native to Bulgaria and currently studies Innovation & Business in Aarhu, Denmark. In his free time, he seeks to immerse himself in acting, music and writing - passions, he hopes to incorporate into his work path. He is the type to choose his own endeavors and refuse to fit within the norm - a simple way to live a life free of foreign expectations. We commend him for it! We love seeing him in our JAVA shorts.
